Mm. Y y y y I thought about it in a second that was just sitting there and I'm like, we see the same people in the hallway, in the pool, at the at the wedding reception, at the white party, at the at the wedding recep the wedding event. Mind you, this was a three hundred person wedding. Like it's a big wedding. It was a big wedding. but everybody had something in common. You either know gus: person like like it's a big wedding. It was a big wedding. but everybody had something in common. You either know THE PODCAST WITH GUS N HEC: the The bride or you know, the groom and you're all there for the same person. And so, you know, the the questions you get asked, you know, it's like, who do you know? You know, is it Courtney? Is it Ailsa? And that conversation went well. Met some really, really, really beautiful people. Really beautiful. And met some gus: Same person being everybody in the hotel was a part of the wedding. Right. So you immediately have like something in common. Right. And so, you know, the the questions you get asked, you know, it's like, Who do you know? You know, is it Courtney? Is it Ailsa? And that conversation went well. Met some really, really, really beautiful people. Really beautiful. And met some THE PODCAST WITH GUS N HEC: Like we just just met some really down to earth people and it was awesome. And the all of them seemed to be very successful and like very good professionals. And so overall the wedding was just an experience that I've that I just will hold on to forever. Yeah, I mean that was a wedding that I think here in America would cost I've millions of dollars. Like millions of dollars. Yeah. And gus: Like we just just met some really down to earth people and it was awesome and d all of them seemed to be very successful in life, very good professionals. And so overall the wedding was just an experience that I've that I just will hold on to forever. Yeah, I mean that was a wedding that I think here in America would cost millions of dollars. Yeah. Like millions of dollars. Yeah. And THE PODCAST WITH GUS N HEC: I j I can imagine they probably paid half that. I mean just still a ton of money. but it was absolutely beautiful. And if you're ever thinking about having a wedding in Colombia, again, this was a place that was incredibly well set up, outdoor venues, different bars, different spaces for dinner, for brunch, an amazing pool overlooking the city, a small town where you could go and hang out. Yeah. I mean I'm I'm gus: I ch I can imagine they probably paid half that. Still. Yeah, still. A ton. A ton of money. Yeah. but it was absolutely beautiful. And if you're ever thinking about having a wedding in Colombia, again, this was a place that was incredibly well set up. outdoor venues, different bars, different spaces for dinner, for brunch, an amazing pool overlooking the city, a small town where you could go and hang out. Yeah. I mean I I THE PODCAST WITH GUS N HEC: Again, I need to get sponsored by this place. It was Zach, the Brown Marriott. The Brown Marriott, yeah. The we started at the White Party on Friday. Great event at on a beach style yep party. the wedding reception was outside, overlooking Guatape. Mm-hmm. And then gus: Again, I to get sponsored by this place. So it's yeah, exactly. And then we stayed one more day and we were able to enjoy we did we we we swam in Guatape in the water. Yeah. Everything was just nice. And so it taught me a lot about just it it took me out of my mental space and my routine for three days and it felt like a very n needed event in my mind. I don't know. gus: In Guatapé, it's water. Everything was just nice. And so it taught me a lot about just it it took me out of my mental space and my routine for three days and it felt like a very n needed event in my mind. I don't know. Yeah. It's hot. It was great. It was so relaxing. I can't it's nice not being part of the way 'cause you don't have to worry about anything. Nothing. but you know, I'm literally talking to the people there, they're telling me how the water's like THE PODCAST WITH GUS N HEC: Yeah. No, it it was great. It was so relaxing. I can't it's nice not being part of the wedding because you don't have to worry about anything. but you know, I'm literally talking to the people there. They're telling me how the waters like the dam flooded all of Guatape to provide hydroelectric energy for the city. Meanwhile, like people at the wedding are like scrambling to get ready and make it to the next event. Yeah. very different experience. I agree, dude. You a gus: the dam flooded all of Guatapé to provide hydroelectric energy for the city. Well meanwhile like people at the wedding are like scrambling to get ready and make it to the next event. Yeah. yeah for experience. I agree, dude. Did you figure that out? I I had a hard time with the foundation. Yeah. I wasn't sure if I should go waterproof. THE PODCAST WITH GUS N HEC: figured that out. I I had a hard time with the foundation. Yeah. I wasn't sure if I should go waterproof or not waterproof, depending on how the night was gonna turn out. Yeah. So anyway we do we do want to shout out Columbia and shout out the resort. Yeah. And the wedding was amazing and shout out Ilsa and Courtney and we wish you Congratulations. The best life that you did you deserved it. You amazing people. gus: Yeah. So anyways, we do we do want to shout out Columbia and shout out the resort. And the wedding was amazing and shout out Ilsa and Courtney and we wish you the the best life that you do you deserve it. You guys are amazing people. And so now we can jump into our topic of the day. when you get back from a trip you realize that you just have to continue as to the life you're building over here in Orlando. THE PODCAST WITH GUS N HEC: And so now we can jump into our topic of the day. when you get back from a trip, you realize that you just have to continue as to the life you're building over here in Orlando. Yeah. gus: As professionals, this podcast, personally, right? And so I think that it gives you a little bit of perspective when you come back to just I don't know, continue to do what we're doing and THE PODCAST WITH GUS N HEC: As professionals, this podcast, personally, right? And so I think that it gives you a little bit of perspective when you come back to just, I don't know, continue to do what we're doing and gus: maybe a little bit of perspective as to why we're doing it. Sure. well one thing I'll I'll add to that is in our world, when you're you know, working for yourself or, you know, you own your own business or you're THE PODCAST WITH GUS N HEC: maybe a little bit of perspective as to why we're doing it. Sure. one thing I'll I'll add to that is in our world, when you're, you know, working for yourself or, you know, you own your own business or you're fully commission based, right? Like you leave on vacation, but gus: The commission base, right? Like you leave on vacation, but THE PODCAST WITH GUS N HEC: you the work doesn't stop. Like doesn't stop just because you took three days off. And so that's a very hard thing to do when you're self employed. And I c I've realize it now more than ever that it's gus: you the work doesn't stop. It doesn't stop just because you took three days off. And so that's a very hard thing to do when you're self employed. And I c I've realized it now more than ever that it's it's it's a very real pressure that you feel when a hundred percent of the business or a hundred percent of what you make is on your shoulders. Yeah. And it's hard to disconnect. You know, it's hard to go on a three day vacation and know that like work's still compounding. It's not like somebody else is stepping in and doing your work for you. THE PODCAST WITH GUS N HEC: It's it's a very real pressure that you feel when a hundred percent of the business or a hundred percent of what you make is on your shoulders. And it's hard to disconnect. You know, it's hard to go on a three day vacation and know that like work's still compounding. It's not like somebody else is stepping in and doing your work for you. gus: so how do you like take that, you know, go off go on that vacation, come back and reset. it's it's it's a hard balance to strike. I just wanted THE PODCAST WITH GUS N HEC: so how do you like take that, you know, go go on that vacation, come back and reset? it's it's it's a hard balance to strike. I just wanted to gus: to comment on that for our world specifically or for anybody that's self employed, like you know the the the pressure it is to try to enjoy a vacation because you can't really disconnect. We don't run out on salary, we can't take PTO and you know THE PODCAST WITH GUS N HEC: Comment on that for our world specifically or for anybody that's self employed, like you know the the the pressure it is to try to enjoy a vacation 'cause you you can't really disconnect. We're not we're not on salary. We can't take PTO and you know, fully disconnect, turn our brains off, turns our turn our phones off, not look at our email for four days. Yeah. gus: fully disconnect, turn our brains off, our turn our phones off, not get our email for four days. Yeah, dude. You you know, worked on the airplane the whole way there. And we send emails and texts and calls. You it it didn't stop. Yeah. It was in and that's something that comes with the territory. It's the life I chose. It's the life we chose. And why do we choose it? I think that that's that's a good question to start at, you know professionally. I feel like THE PODCAST WITH GUS N HEC: whole way there and we send emails and texts and calls. You know, it didn't stop. Yeah. It was in and that's something that comes with the territory. It's the life I chose. It's the life we chose. Yep. And why did we choose it? I think that that's that's a good question to start at. Yeah. Professionally. I feel like gus: I chose a career like this, a hundred percent commission based, just because I felt that if I THE PODCAST WITH GUS N HEC: I chose a career like this, 100% commission based, just because I felt that if I gus: put in the same the the effort that I know I'm capable of putting into something, I think that there's no ceiling as to where I can go financially and professionally. Yeah. And so that was my biggest take, you know, other than the fact that that you really have a little bit more control of your schedule, even though what you're saying is true. It's not that you have more control of it, it's that you can THE PODCAST WITH GUS N HEC: putting the same the the effort that I know I'm capable of putting into something. I think that there's no ceiling as to where I can go financially and professionally. Yeah. And so that was my biggest take, you know, other than the fact that that you really have a little bit more control of your schedule, even though what you're saying is true, it's not that you have more control of it, it's that you can gus: manage to do it from whatever location you're in. Yeah. It's a double edge short. It is. Yeah, you want freedom THE PODCAST WITH GUS N HEC: manage to do it from whatever location you're in. Yeah, it's a double edged sword. It is. Yeah, you want freedom gus: but there's always there's a cost to everything. Yeah. same year. Same here. I valued the freedom a ton. You know, from a very early age. My sister, Pam, was shout out Pam. Shout out Pam. Was just very savvy about traveling. Like she was very smart about setting up the logistics and THE PODCAST WITH GUS N HEC: But there's always there's a cost to everything. Yeah. same here. Same here. I valued the freedom a ton, you know, from a very early age. My sister, Pam, was shout out Pam, was just very savvy about traveling. Like she was very smart about setting up the logistics and scheduling trips around the world. And so she was very smart at setting that up. So I would always like kind of pick up gus: scheduling trips around the world. So she was very smart at setting that up. So I would always like kind of pick up on how she was doing some of these things, how she was saving up, how she was getting the flights, how she was traveling to weird countries and we never nobody's ever heard about well. THE PODCAST WITH GUS N HEC: on how she was doing some of these things, how she was saving up, how she was getting the flights, how she was traveling to weird countries nobody ever nobody's ever heard about about. gus: And I knew I wanted that. I wanted that flexibility. I wanted that freedom. so out of college like meeting Guillermo and knowing and seeing these people's lifestyles, like how they're one hundred percent reliant on the work that they put in and can work from anywhere, experience life from anywhere, but they don't have a ceiling because it's to kill what you know, eat what you kill. THE PODCAST WITH GUS N HEC: And I knew I wanted that. I wanted that flexibility. I wanted that freedom. so out of college, like meeting Guillermo and knowing and seeing these people's lifestyles, like how they're one hundred percent reliant on the work that they put in and can work from anywhere, experience life from anywhere, but they don't have a ceiling because it's it's kill what you know, eat what you kill. gus: I was very drawn to that for for that reason. Like being able to travel, being able to believe in myself and know that the the work that I put in is the the result that I'll get out is very rewarding. Yeah, I agree. And that ties into a lot of the things that we've been talking about, you know, off THE PODCAST WITH GUS N HEC: I was very drawn to that for for that reason. Like being able to travel, being able to believe in myself and know that the the work that I put in is the the result that I'll get out is very rewarding. Yeah, I agree. And that ties into lot of the things that we've been talking about, you know gus: camera and and you know, every day 'cause I I feel like I see you every day. why would s why would people like us who are just working ten, twelve hour days THE PODCAST WITH GUS N HEC: I see you every day. Yep. why would why would people like us who are just working ten, twelve hour days deciding to do a podcast? Like on top of everything we already have going on professionally and personally, of course, let's let's do a podcast. And I know it's because we've been talking about it for decades, right? No at least a decade. Yep. But you know, why now? Why at why at our busiest gus: deciding to do a podcast like on top of everything we already have going on professionally and personally of course let's let's let's do a podcast and i know it's because we've been talking about it for decades right or at least a decade yeah but you know why now why why at our busiest moments of our lives like why why i've been trying to answer that question myself it's like THE PODCAST WITH GUS N HEC: moments of our lives. Like why why I've been trying to answer that question myself. It's like why? You know? Like what's why and what's the what's the point? Sure. You know? I mean I'm I'm asking I'll ask you. Okay. Yeah. Well you know this is the second time I've started a podcast well this is actually the first time I've ever sat down and really recorded a podcast, really recorded an episode. But Dude the OnlyFans does not count. Alright, never mind. First time. gus: Why? You know, like what's why and what's the what's the point? Well what's the end goal, you know? I mean I I'm I'm ask I guess I'll ask you first. Yeah. Well this is the second time I've started a podcast. Well this is actually the first time I've ever sat down and really recorded the podcast, really recorded an episode. But Dude, the OnlyFans does not count. all right, no first time. Yeah. THE PODCAST WITH GUS N HEC: I I think gus: I I think THE PODCAST WITH GUS N HEC: like I've explained to you off camera and you know we'll talk about this all together. Like what's the name of that that actor that we're talking about? Austin Butler. Yeah. there was a reel that Gus and I talk about all the time, which was he was sitting he was talking to somebody and a guy came up to him at a party and said, gus: like I've explained to you off camera and you know we'll talk about this altogether, like what's the name of that that actor? Austin Butler. Austin Butler. Yeah. there was a reel that Gus and I talk about all the time which was he was sitting he was talking to somebody and a guy came up to him at a party and said THE PODCAST WITH GUS N HEC: embarrassment is an unexplored emotion, so go out and make a fool out of yourself because everything you want is on the other side of that. gus: Embarrassment is an unexplored emotion. So go out and make a fool out yourself. Because everything you want is on the other side of that. THE PODCAST WITH GUS N HEC: And for me, I've always kind of had a similar motto or similar saying and that the thing that I fear most, which is I don't know, probably public speaking or putting myself out there or being vulnerable, that's something that I fear a lot. So how do I get over that fear and how do gus: And for me, I've always kind of had a similar motto or similar saying in that the thing that I fear most, which is I don't know, probably public speaking or putting myself out there and being vulnerable. that's something that I fear a lot. So how do I get over that fear and how do I THE PODCAST WITH GUS N HEC: I know that that's the thing that I should really practice and try to be better at? Well, I get to do a podcast and sit down with my best friend and talk about cool ideas, cool things, stories. gus: know that that's the thing that I should really practice and try to be better at. Well, I get to do a podcast and sit down with my best friend and talk about cool ideas, cool things, stories, life, how to be better. Yeah. And so so THE PODCAST WITH GUS N HEC: Life, how to be better. And so you know, it's a win-win. Yeah, man. I I love that that clip because it's like I think they were referring to dancing at that point. He was like you didn't want to go up and dance, but it's like dude, you never know what's gonna what comes out of you going out there and dancing. Make a fool out of yourself. Yeah. I think us, we are very careful in catering our image gus: You know, to win win. Yeah, man. I I love that that clip because it's like I think they were referring to dancing at that point. And he was like, y you didn't want to go up and dance but it's like, dude, you never know what's gonna what comes out of you going out there and dancing. Just make a fool of yourself. Who cares? I think us we are very careful in catering our image. THE PODCAST WITH GUS N HEC: based on who we've always been and now especially in our professional world. gus: based on who we've always been and now especially in our professional world. I think that's something that has to happen more than more than not. But at the same time, I think that I love that that's your reason because I I feel that. It's a reason. It's a reason. But I also feel like for me it was also what we always talked about exploring our creative juices. Yeah. You know, like we are very logical, very rational. THE PODCAST WITH GUS N HEC: I think that's something that has to happen more than more than not. But at the same time, I think that I love that that's your reason because I I feel that it's a reason. It's a reason. Yeah. But I also feel like for me it was also what we always talked about exploring our creative juices. Yeah. You know, like we are very logical, very rational, very numbers. To a fault. Yeah. To a fault. And I thought that gus: Very numbers guy. Yeah. To a fault. Yeah. To a to an absolute fault. And I thought that, you know, a podcast brought a level of creativity and a level of thinking that I was not accustomed to and that I do not have available to me in my regular life. Because whether it's at work working with investors and brokers and real estate, or whether it's at home when I'm listening to THE PODCAST WITH GUS N HEC: you know, a podcast brought a level of creativity and a level of thinking that I was not accustomed to. Yep. And that I do not have available to me in my regular life. Because whether it's at work working with investors and brokers and real estate or whether it's at home when I'm listening to gus: another philosophy podcast or science podcast or just everything just seem and my books, the books I read are all nonfiction THE PODCAST WITH GUS N HEC: another philosophy podcast or science podcast or just everything just seem and my books, the books I read are all nonfiction. gus: books. You know what I mean? Everything in my life is very very gray suit. Very gray suit. The six thousand dollar suit. Are you talking about my six thousand dollar suit? yeah. Shout out Arrested Development. A shout out Arrested Development. Yeah. yeah we you know I just felt like this would be a very good path in my personal life and in my brain to just THE PODCAST WITH GUS N HEC: Books, you know what I mean? Everything in my life is very very grey suit. Very grey suit. The six thousand dollars suit. Are you talking about my six thousand dollar suit? shout out Arrested Development. Sh shout out Arrested Development, yeah. yeah, we you know, I just felt like this would be a very good path in my personal life and in my brain to just get out of my comfort zone, embarrass myself like you're saying, and gus: Get out of my comfort zone, embarrass myself, like you're saying, and maybe explore a a part of of me that I didn't know ex existed. Yeah. And it's and it's so far it's been people have no idea what goes into building this podcast. And so the fact that we have that why and the fact that we're doing it because we like to learn and we like to l other people to learn with us, yeah. I think that that that why is the reason why we spend THE PODCAST WITH GUS N HEC: Maybe explore a a part of of me that I didn't know existed. Yeah. And it's and it's so far it's been people have no idea what goes into building this podcast. And so mm fact that we have that why and the fact that we're doing it because we like to learn and we like to other people to learn with us. Yep. I think that that that why is the reason why we spend we were in the office from eight to six today and gus: We were in the office from eight to six today and now we're sitting here doing this. Yeah. it's and it's also again back to us being very entrepreneurial. We're it this is starting a new business. Right. So we're you know how they say like do what you love and you'll never have to work a day in your life. Right. I think this very much falls in line with that. Okay. Like being able to challenge yourself and do that thing that you fear, plus doing that thing that you want to do with the people that you like. THE PODCAST WITH GUS N HEC: Now we're sitting here doing this? Yeah. it's and it's also, again, back to us being very entrepreneurial, we're it this is starting a new business. Right. So we're you know how they say like do what you love and you'll never have to work a day in your life. Right. I think this very much falls in line with that. Like being able to challenge yourself and do that thing that you fear, plus doing that thing that you wanna do with the people that you like, plus doing that thing that you want so that you can gus: plus doing that thing that you want so that you can achieve THE PODCAST WITH GUS N HEC: achieve your dreams and set up a platform and have that be synergistic to the rest of your life, I think plays extremely well. And so with us like being entrepreneurial and doing the thing that we like and learning how to build this as a business has been an incredibly rewarding experience because whether it's a podcast or I don't know gus: your dreams and set up a platform and have that be synergistic to the rest of your life, I think plays extremely well. And so with us like being entrepreneurial and doing the thing that we like and learning how to build this as a business has been an incredibly rewarding experience because whether it's a podcast or I don't THE PODCAST WITH GUS N HEC: a an equipment rental company or a software business, it all kind of has the same steps and we'll gus: Like equipment rental company or a software business, it all kind of has the same steps. Yeah. And we'll, you know, likely do many more, but this is one that, you know, I think you and I will cherish forever. Forever. Yeah. I agree. I and and that word synergies THE PODCAST WITH GUS N HEC: you know, likely do many more, but this is one that, you know, I think you and I will cherish forever. Forever. Yeah. I agree. I and and that word gus: just keeps coming up in our lives, man. And I think that there's something so powerful with that. I feel like our audience should know that if they can incorporate different aspects of their lives into one common THE PODCAST WITH GUS N HEC: so powerful with that I feel like our audience should know that if they can incorporate different aspects of their lives into one common synergy right like if you can take this makes sense this is my profession this is my hobby this is what I like to do with my partner this you know all these things and somehow you can connect all of those together it's the same thing as doing it for a business right like you know why how can the gus: synergy right like if you can take this makes sense this is my profession this is my hobby this is what i like to do with my partner this you know all these things and somehow you can connect all of those together it's the same thing as doing it for a business right like you know what how can the the the wine company understand THE PODCAST WITH GUS N HEC: the the wine company understand where the grapes come from and where the machines come from and the the you know what I mean and then becomes a real estate business and yeah and then a marketing business and then experiential business where people come and taste the wine and take tours and Yeah, dude you bet with the Mescast. gus: Where the grapes come from and where the machines come from and the the you know what I mean? It's becomes a real estate business. And then yeah, and where do I buy business and then experiential business where people come and taste the wine and take tours and yeah, dude d you met with the Mescal guy. not sure if it's okay to even Yeah, yeah, bring that up. Rachel Mescal. Out of Dallas, Texas. Dallas, Texas. THE PODCAST WITH GUS N HEC: Yeah, yeah. shout out Rachel Mescal. Rachel Mescal. Out of Dallas, Texas. Dallas, Texas. gus: Guy who incorporated what he was already doing with a side quest that he wanted to to try out. w what a beautiful life you live when everything you're doing has one common why. Yeah. You know? For for him, I'll tell the story real quick. His name's Matt. he lives in Dallas and he used to live in Oaxaca, Mexico. And in Oaxaca they had a mezcal distillery. THE PODCAST WITH GUS N HEC: side quest that he wanted to to try out. Yep. What a beautiful life you live when everything you're doing has one common why. Yeah. For for for him, I'll tell the story real quick. His name is Matt. he lives in Dallas and he used to live in Oaxaca, Mexico. And in Oaxaca they had a mezcal distillery and turns out this distillery is you know licensed to bottle gus: And turns out this distillery is licensed to bottle, THE PODCAST WITH GUS N HEC: You know, distill bottle and label mezcal. And this gus: you know, distill, bottle, and label mezcal. And This person was like, there's a a real gap in the marketplace here because he is a real estate professional and talks to a ton of real estate professionals who go to the local restaurants and talk to a lot of people. So he's very well connected. So he can see that there's something missing in the marketplace. And so he goes to Oaxaca, he sets up partnership with his contact, and now he has the ability to sell and distribute THE PODCAST WITH GUS N HEC: person was like, there's a a real gap in the marketplace here because he is a real estate professional and talks to a ton of real estate professionals who go to the local restaurants and talk to a lot of people. This person took THE PODCAST WITH GUS N HEC: I w I literally had his mascal at a restaurant and I thought that was so cool. This person took a synergistic business to his, something that he enjoys doing, something that's in line with his long term vision, creates a business out of it, and now all that new business provides even more value to his real estate business, even more value to his personal brand. And all of these things synergistically improve over time. That's great. Yeah. That's great. So, you know, what is that thing? gus: a synergistic business to his, something that he enjoys doing, something they that's in line with his long term vision, creates a business out of it, and now all that new business provides even more value to his real estate business, even more value to his personal brand. And all of these things synergistically improve over time. That's crazy. Yeah. That's crazy. So, you know, what is that thing for anybody, right? Like what is that thing you like to do that THE PODCAST WITH GUS N HEC: For anybody, right? Like what is that thing you like to do that is already in line with what you know? Is a skill that you have, is something that you want to do. Maybe there's somebody that you want to do it with. How do all those things play together? Mm-hmm. And how can you go and get started today? Yeah. Today. Today. Yeah, today. It's it's funny. gus: Is already in line with what you know, is a skill that you have, is something that you want to do. When I was gus: What you're doing in life right now. Is this what you thought you'd be doing at at the age of thirty? And yes and no and i and if so, like why? Like w w for whatever answer. dude, I thought I was gonna be a physician at thirty. Yeah. When I was THE PODCAST WITH GUS N HEC: eighteen or twenty, I thought it'd be in medical school or out of medical school and practicing medicine. But I think one thing that I learned in school at your R MBA was gus: eighteen or twenty. I thought it'd be in medical school or out of medical school and practicing medicine. But I think one thing that I learned in school at your RNBA was THE PODCAST WITH GUS N HEC: it's the people that are really successful always remain very adaptable and flexible and you stay light on your toes and you keep developing your skills. And you know, while I didn't become a physician, I love what I do today. I'm probably gus: It's the people that are really successful always remain very adaptable and flexible. And you stay light on your toes and you keep developing your skills. And, you know, while I didn't become a physician, I love what I today. I'm probably I have a lot more freedom and I have the ability to actually do the things that THE PODCAST WITH GUS N HEC: I have a lot more freedom and I have the ability to actually do the things that I genuinely care about. So I've I think I've always been kind of a serial entrepreneur. I've shown you my notebook. You know, I've drawn up ideas. I've thought of like different things to put together and real estate gave me that opportunity to learn a business through and through and to be able to do this now with real estate and to sit down and do a podcast and you know the software I'm working on. Like I don't think I would have done it if I was gus: I genuinely care about. So I've I think I've always been kind of a serial entrepreneur. Mm. I've shown you my notebook, you know, I've drawn up ideas, I've thought of like different things to put together and real estate gave me that opportunity to learn a business through and through and to be able to do this now with real estate and to sit down and do a podcast and you know the software I'm working on. Like I don't think I would have done it if I was, you know, in medical school. I wouldn't have the time. It'd be very different. Yeah. THE PODCAST WITH GUS N HEC: You know, in medical school I wouldn't have the time, it'd be very different. Yeah. does that answer your question? Yeah, great, man. That's funny because you mentioned the serial entrepreneur thing and I'm laughing because it just always seems like as soon as you're explaining to someone your idea, it's like, wait, are you talking about man? Yeah, you have an app that you can select left or right and when you want to date somebody and they're like you're talking about Tinder. You talk about Tinder's like No, dude, I was in it was two thousand and twenty one. gus: Yeah, great man. That's funny because you mentioned the serial entrepreneur thing and I'm laughing because it just always seems like as soon as you're explaining to someone your idea, it's like, wait, are you talking about man Yeah, you you have an app that you can swipe left or right when you want to date somebody and they're like, You t you talk about you talk about Tinder, right? Your heck is like, was two thousand and twenty one summer. Mm-hmm. And I was THE PODCAST WITH GUS N HEC: summer and I was in New Orleans gus: in New Orleans. THE PODCAST WITH GUS N HEC: and my friends and I had gone on a couple trips. It was me, Philip, Guillermo, and Michael. And I we we were we would go out on trips and we'd have a hard time splitting the balances of the things we do. So I created an Excel that has each person's name and the amount the amount that they spent on whatever thing, how many people it's divided by, it'll give a total and then it'll show at the bottom, it'll reconcile gus: trips and we have hard time splitting the balances of the things we use. So I create an Excel that has each person's name and the amount the amount that they spent on whatever thing, how many people it's divided by, it'll give a total, and then it'll show at the bottom, it'll reconcile who owes what to who. And then it'll it was either color coded and it'll show like what you owe it who go to THE PODCAST WITH GUS N HEC: Who owes what to who? And then it was even color-coded and it'll show like what you owe and who you owe to. And so I'm like, I'm playing with a Stanford University Xcode class that was on YouTube for free. So I'm trying to develop this like a prototype of this, which by the way was so much harder to do this back in the day. Now you can just vibe code it. It's so easy. But back then I actually like took this like YouTube course on how to build these iOS apps and gus: And so I'm like I'm playing with a Stanford University Xcode class that was on YouTube for free. So I'm trying to develop this like a prototype of this, which by the way was so much harder to do this back in the day. Yeah, you could just vibe vibe code it, yeah. So easy. Yeah. But back then I actually like took this like YouTube course on how to build these iOS apps and I had like was trying to build this little working prototype. THE PODCAST WITH GUS N HEC: I had like was trying to build this little working prototype, but I had the XL and we were all like walking down Bourbon Street and I remember there was this girl that was like talking to the guys in our group gus: But I had the XL. And we were all like walking down Bourbon Street. And I remember there was this girl that was like talking to the guys in her group. THE PODCAST WITH GUS N HEC: and I was like pitching her this idea. I was like, Hey how do you guys handle your finances? And she was Yeah. So I was like, So I'm building this app, it's got this thing, it shows everybody how it keeps track of expenses, shows everybody how to do it. And then she's like, are you talking about split wise? And then I stopped and I was like, What are you talking about? gus: And I was like pitching her this idea. I was like, Hey how do you guys handle your phones? Yeah. Yeah. Who knows who pays what? Yeah, so I was like, so I'm building this app, it's got this thing, it shows everybody how to keep track of expenses, shows everybody how to do it. And then she's like, are you talking about split wise? And then I stopped and I was like, What are you talking about? She would have had it on her phone and she was like, no, this is split wise, you're talking about split wise. She was like, Are are you you making fun of me? And then I was like, THE PODCAST WITH GUS N HEC: She she literally had it on her phone and she was like, no, this is split wise. You're talking about split wise. She was like, Are are you you making fun of me? And then I was like, I'm sorry I'm embarrassed. I really thought that that was a novel idea. I hadn't even researched it. but it was also hard to find. Like you can't I don't know, I didn't know how to what to look it up as on the app store at the time. So did you try Google? No. No. There was no Chat GPT back in those days. yeah. Well maybe there was, but I just wasn't. The days before gus: So I'm embarrassed. I really thought that that was a novel idea. I didn't even research. Right, right. but it was also hard to find. Like you can't I don't know, I didn't know how to what to look it up as on the app store at the time. So did you try Google? No. No. There was no Chat GPT back in those days. yeah, the days were the the days before Chat GPT. I honestly am still appalled as THE PODCAST WITH GUS N HEC: Chat G B T I honestly am still appalled as gus: to the fact that we lived a whole twenty five years without AI. Yeah. Dude. What is that about? You had to look up a topic and then find an article. And then read that article. Yeah. And then find a related article to that article to finally get your answer. Yeah. Yeah. What is that, dude? Yeah. Yeah. Well you had to you had to actually r THE PODCAST WITH GUS N HEC: Yeah, dude, you had to you have to look up a topic and then find an article and then read that article and then find a related article to that article to finally get your answer. Yeah. Yeah. What is that, dude? Yeah. Yeah. That's crazy. You have to actually gus: type your emails out. Yeah. Yeah, so annoying. What? Ridiculous. Anyways, it just seems to me that yeah w you you THE PODCAST WITH GUS N HEC: Yeah. Yeah, so annoying. What? Ridiculous. Anyways, it just seems to me that yeah, you you gus: are at a completely different point in your life than you ever thought you would be. yeah, yeah. And yeah, just you know, bringing it back. Bringing it back. No, I love tangents. I think that that's the point. I think that that that's what makes us unique or else everybody would talk about the same thing. You know? but yeah, no, I think that for me personally, I think that I wanted to be an attorney THE PODCAST WITH GUS N HEC: are at a completely different point in your life than you ever thought you would be. yeah, yeah. And yeah, just you know, bringing it back. Yeah, sorry. Tangents, tangents. I love tangents. I think that that's the point. That that's what makes us unique or else everybody would talk about the same thing. Yeah. but yeah, no, I think that for me personally, I think that I wanted to be an attorney. gus: and you know, took the LSAT, was getting ready for law school and THE PODCAST WITH GUS N HEC: and you know, took the out sat, was getting ready for law school. And I don't know. I think my goal was always to go into corporate law to eventually make it into like a boardroom or in the investment world. And so gus: I don't know. I think my goal was always to go into corporate law to eventually make it into like a boardroom or in the investment world. And so it's it's crazy for me to think that this journey that I'm in now, you make it so much like I I made it to this world a lot faster with a lot more tangible skills as to how to behave and how to act in the investment world, you know? And so how unique it is, you know, and how difficult it was to tell my father THE PODCAST WITH GUS N HEC: It's it's crazy for me to think that this journey that I'm in now you make it so much like I I made it to this world a lot faster with a lot more tangible skills as to how to behave and how to act and the investment world, you know? And so how unique it is, you know, and how difficult it was to tell my father, Yeah, I'm I'm going I'm getting my MBA instead of law school. He was like, MBA Damn gus: Yeah, I'm I'm going I'm getting my MBA instead of law school. He was like, MBA so THE PODCAST WITH GUS N HEC: Okay. Okay. Okay. Well hang me in. And so, you know, that's that's a process that I feel like a lot of professionals probably have gone through, especially our generation. Pivoting. Pivoting, yeah. I think our generation had we were lucky and blessed to be raised by gus: MBA And so, you know, that's that's a process that I feel like a lot of professionals probably have gone through, especially our generation. I think pivoting, yeah. I think our generation had we were lucky and blessed to be raised by THE PODCAST WITH GUS N HEC: parents who probably either gus: parents who probably either had a professional career or or instilled in us that that's the way to go. And, you know, unfortunately, well, I guess not unfortunately. May maybe the the difference in generations was that my dad's generation, my dad was born in the forties, so my dad's definitely from like three generations ago. They believed in you get a career, you work on that career for thirty years, you buy a house, you buy a second house, you maybe buy a third one, or you run a business. It was very THE PODCAST WITH GUS N HEC: had a professional career or or instilled in us that that's the way to go. Yeah. And, you know, unfortunately, well, I guess not unfortunately. Maybe maybe the the difference in generations was that my dad's generation, my dad was born in the forties, so my dad's definitely from like three generations ago. They believed in you get a career, you work on that career for thirty years, you buy a house, you buy a second house, you maybe buy a third one, or you run a business. It was very organized. Yeah they did it. And I think that our generation is no longer gus: Organized the way they did it. And I think that our generation is no longer following those those protocols. You know, I think we're we're much THE PODCAST WITH GUS N HEC: following those those protocols. gus: like I my dad still doesn't understand what an influencer is. He gets it now. But at first he was like, So what do they they just you know, they get THE PODCAST WITH GUS N HEC: Like I my dad still doesn't understand what an influencer is. He gets it. Yeah, yeah. But at first he was like, So what do they did you know, they get well how d what that's what's their career? What what are they though? Yeah. They're an influencer. No, no, no, but what how do they make money? Exactly. Yeah. And so I think that our generation and with AI, with social media, with all these different avenues that the world that we live in are creating, I think that our generations definitely want to explore their gus: how do what that's what's their career? What what are they though? They're an influencer. No, no no but what what are they? Exactly. Yeah. And so I think that our generation and with AI, with social media, with all these different avenues that the world that we live in are creating. I think that our generations definitely want to explore their their passions and their hobbies and make them into c a a career, you know? For sure. Back back to that topic of being flexible, right? Like you deciding to get that NBA. THE PODCAST WITH GUS N HEC: their passions and their hobbies and make them into a a career, you know? For sure. Back back to that topic of being flexible, right? Like you deciding to get that MBA. I mean, it's not like it would ever limit you from going to law school again. Right. Right. And so I don't know. I I think that's a having that conversation with your dad was tough, but I think you knew all along like gus: I mean, it's not like it would ever limit you from going to law school right again. Right. Right. And so I don't know, I I think that's a having that conversation with your dad was tough, but I think you knew all along like Yeah. This is only gonna make putting me in a better position to have more options. And who doesn't want more options? Right. THE PODCAST WITH GUS N HEC: this is only gonna make put me in a better position to have more options. And who doesn't want more options? Right. and so developing that skill set, you know, you were able to go out, develop that skill set, have more options and and really understand what it is that you want to do with life in life while taking an as additional step forward. gus: and so developing that skill set, you know, you were able to go out, develop that skill set, have more options and and really understand what it is that you want to do with life i in life while taking it as additional step forward. Right. I agree. I think man, what we're building right now, Heck, you and I, is crazy. Pers I'm saying personally, professionally, this podcast, you know? THE PODCAST WITH GUS N HEC: Man, what we're building right now, Hike, you and I, it's crazy. Pers I'm saying personally, professionally, this podcast, you know? Yeah. And I think I don't know. I'm I was talking I was trying to think to myself, our the Coda is kind of on the other side of the studio here, trying to get in, but he's not a an invited guest. No, yeah, we we haven't seen Coda's the Coda's a dog. Did I say that? gus: Yeah. And I think I don't know. I I was talking I was trying to think to myself, the little baby. our that Coda is kind of on the other side of the studio here, trying to get in, but he's yeah, an invited guest. No, yeah, we we have him scheduled. Coda's a dog. Yeah, Coda is Hector's dog and w he's he's scheduled to be one of the people we interviewed but not not today. he also was supposed to be helping with the sound and THE PODCAST WITH GUS N HEC: Yeah, Coda is Hector's dog and w he's he's scheduled to be one of the people we interviewed, but not today. Yes. he also was supposed to be helping with the sound and not helping. Yeah. The opposite of a sitting on the cables. So yeah, He chewed through the charges. Camera's off right now. We've been talking to nobody this whole time. yeah, I think just i i in general gus: Nah, he just sat there. Yeah. Yeah, yeah, he was sitting on the cables. So yeah, chewed through the church. He chew he chewed our We've been talking to nobody this whole time. yeah, I think just i i in general. I was trying to think to myself w in prepping for this podcast, but in general, what I saw my life to be in the next three years. Yeah. THE PODCAST WITH GUS N HEC: I was trying to think to myself in prepping for this podcast, but in general. Yeah. What I saw my life to be in the next three years. Yep. Sometimes people say five, ten years, but I think three years is a good good especially the way our life is nowadays. Three years is a long time. It is, yeah. I'll start with what I think this podcast, what I would like it to be. Sure. Okay. I would like this podcast, what we're building with this podcast is gus: Sometimes people say five, ten years, but I think three years is a good good especially the way our life is nowadays. Three years is a long time. It is, yeah. I'll start with what I think this podcast what I would like it to be. Sure. Okay. I would like this podcast, what we're building with this podcast is the concept we touched on earlier about synergies. I think we want to make this podcast not only something that people enjoy listening to and you know, become a part of. THE PODCAST WITH GUS N HEC: the concept we touched on earlier about synergies. I think we want to make this podcast not only something that people enjoy listening to and you know become a part of. I want to create a community outside of this that involves all the things that we like to do. Whether that's helping businesses grow, whether that's investing in companies or investing in small businesses, whether that's talking about philosophy, talking about gus: I want to create a community outside of this that involves all the things that we like to do. Whether that's helping businesses grow, whether that's investing in companies or investing in small businesses, whether that's talking about philosophy, talking about growth, career growth, personal growth. I just wanted to touch all the points that I think we're very interested in. THE PODCAST WITH GUS N HEC: growth, career growth, personal growth. I just wanted to touch all the points that I think we're very interested in. Implementing systems. Implementing system routines, habits. Habits. Yeah, it could go from you know the the the most gus: Implementing systems. Implementing systems. Habits. Yeah, it could go from you know the the the most intense AI codes all the way to gym and nutrition. You know, who cares? I I just wanted this to be a become a media platform for us to be able to not only us but a group of community a community, yeah, a group of well rounded professionals giving input as to what they're doing and how they're doing it. Yeah, you know? The the in the ideal world. THE PODCAST WITH GUS N HEC: I I just want this to be a become a media platform for us to be able to not only us but a group of a community. A community, yeah, a group of well rounded professionals giving input as to what they're doing, yeah how they're doing it. Yeah. The the in the ideal world, right, we've we're building a community where we get to talk about a cool topic and people comment or talk to us and want to be part of the discussion of what their perspective is on that topic. Right. gus: building a community where we get to talk about a cool topic and people comment or talk to us and want to be part of the discussion of what their perspective is on that topic. Right. Whether it's you know a new thing in AI or a new business that's coming into Orlando, for example, our hometown, being able to have that open dialogue and and build that community together, that's a that's in my world, that's a perfect case. That's the perfect case. Yeah. Yeah. And I think, you know, THE PODCAST WITH GUS N HEC: whether it's, you know, a new thing in AI or a new business that's coming into Orlando, for example, our hometown, being able to have that open dialogue and and build that community together, that's a that's in my world, that's a perfect case. That's a perfect case. Yeah. Yeah. And I think, you know gus: if if it ties to my vision of life. I would love for this to somehow in interconnect with commercial real estate and what we're doing. I think real estate touches everything. Right. Yeah. Kind of like you. You gotta stop touching. Yeah. Yeah, you gotta stop touching things. yeah, I think I think w w what what we're building at Panther is really cool. And I also believe that THE PODCAST WITH GUS N HEC: love for this to somehow in interconnect with commercial real estate and what we're doing. I think well real estate touches everything. Right. Yeah. Yeah. Kind of like you. You gotta stop touching. Yeah. Sorry. yeah I think I think w what what we're building at Panther is really cool. And I also believe that we're finding ways to create a s synergies between what we're doing there already. gus: we're finding ways to create a s synergies between what we're doing there already. And so who knows, man. Who knows if at some points we have segments, sections, entire entire topics and and conversations about commercial real estate because we can do that. That's one topic that we're actually experience in. You know what I mean? I think what we could do for the real estate topic is always THE PODCAST WITH GUS N HEC: And so who knows, man, who knows if at some points we have segments, sections, entire entire topics and and conversations about commercial real estate. Because we can do that. That's one topic that we're actually experiencing. Yeah what I mean. I think what we could do for the real estate topic is always bring it and merge it with the operational company, like the opco side of it, to understand how that business is successful utilizing that real estate. gus: bring it and merge it with the operational company, like the opco side of it to understand how that business is successful utilizing that real estate. Right. Because most people don't know real estate or most people don't know like operational companies how they interact with one another I think is very THE PODCAST WITH GUS N HEC: 'Cause most people don't know real estate or most people don't know like operational companies, but how they interact with one another I think is very unique. Yeah. And is a very important skill or thing to know. Yeah. I agree. So I think that that kind of was the topic that I was thinking about in my head as far as my three years. I mean, are you would you like to share? I mean, I know you mentioned a little bit of what you see in the podcast. Yeah. does that kind of connect with what you're trying to do professionally in the Yeah. So gus: Yeah. And is a very important skill or thing to know. Yeah. I agree. So I think that that kind of was the topic that I was thinking about in my head as far as my three years. I mean, are you would you like to share? I mean, I know you mentioned a little bit of what you see in the podcast. Yeah. does that kind of connect with what you're trying to do professionally and personally? So on the topic of like building a podcast as a business, build you building it as a business. THE PODCAST WITH GUS N HEC: On the topic of like building a podcast as a business, build you building it as a business, I think it's given us a lot of experience or brought up a lot of challenges that were unexpected for us, right? So choosing the right equipment, choosing the right software, putting in the right amount of capital, understanding the fixed cost, the variable costs, understanding the marketing plan, the strategy, the audience, the setup, the channels, all of it is like running any other business and we have to make decisions about gus: I think it's given us a lot of experience, or brought up a lot of challenges that were unexpected for us, right? So choosing the right equipment, choosing the right software, putting in the right amount of capital, understanding fixed costs, understanding the marketing plan, the strategy, the audience, the setup, the channels, all of it is like running any other business and we have to make decisions about how to do that. So this is another example of how we were able to THE PODCAST WITH GUS N HEC: How to do that. And it's just this is another example of how we were able to go through all of those different items, you know, and and and quickly come to a decision because you can get stuck on any of them and never get started. so the quicker that you can be at having an idea, developing a business plan and getting started to start collecting feedback like we did to all of our friends and family that we sent the last episode to and provided great feedback to us. Thank you. Like that is literally that means the world to me. gus: go through all those different items and and and quickly come to a decision because you can get stuck on any of them and never get started. Right. so the quicker that you can be at having an idea, developing a business plan and getting started to start collecting feedback like we did to all of our friends and family that we sent the last episode to and provided great feedback to us. Thank you. Thank you so much. That is literally that means the world to me. I know it means the world to you. Like if if we ever decide we want to do a THE PODCAST WITH GUS N HEC: I know it means the world to you. Like if if we ever decide we want to do a don't gus: I don't know, a a water bottle company, for example, right? Like we should we will send it to our close friends and family and get feedback and if it sucks, like at least we don't have to spend a ton of money doing it. Yeah, THE PODCAST WITH GUS N HEC: know, a a water bottle company, for example, right? Like we should we will send it to our close friends and family and get feedback and if it sucks, like at least we don't have to spend a ton of money doing it. gus: there's there's a lack of water bottles out there. Yeah. Not enough brands doing water. liquid beverage companies. Yeah, right. Yeah. That should be the next thing. Tequila either that or tequila's yeah, yeah. so I think like just the exercise of of starting a new business is is super THE PODCAST WITH GUS N HEC: Yeah. Yeah. Not enough brand. Not enough liquid beverage companies. Yeah. Yeah. I should be the next thing. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. I've got another tequila. so I I think like the just the exercise of of starting a new business is is super rewarding to me, you know, when I try to like get that exercise in the rep in of doing it because I you know, I wanna be someone that's involved in starting new businesses, growing new businesses. I wanna be someone that's very gus: to me, you know, when I try to like get that exercise in the rep in of doing it because I you know, I wanna be someone that's involved in starting new businesses, growing new businesses. I wanna be someone that's very involved in real estate, you know industrial we know very well, retail we love. so I think again back to the two synergies, like it's i sorry, code is if you can hear me back there. playing THE PODCAST WITH GUS N HEC: involved in real estate, you know industrial we know very well, retail we love. so I think again back to the two synergies, like it's sorry, Coda is if you can hear in the background. playing playing a role to develop both of these worlds requires a lot of commitment, a lot of time. And you know, I don't know, I find it I find it very valuable and that's gus: playing a role to develop both of these worlds requires a lot of commitment, a lot of time. Right. And, you know, I don't know, I find it I find it very valuable and that's th I I think we're doing exactly what it is that we wanted to do and THE PODCAST WITH GUS N HEC: That I I think we're doing exactly what it is that we wanted to do and I I it's just I I couldn't I wouldn't have it any other way. Are you crying? No. It's just the lighting. Sure. Yeah. okay. Well I think that that's that's great. And I and where we're going with this, hopefully, you know, kinda wanna set a goal here for the next you know, we're talking about building. gus: It's just I I couldn't I wouldn't have Are you crying? No. It's just a lighting. Sure. Yeah. okay. Well I think that that's that's great. And I and where we're going with this, hopefully, you know, I kinda wanna set a goal here for the next you know, we're talking about building. That that was the topic of this conversation, what what we're building here with the podcast and we touched a little bit about what we're building professionally and and personally. THE PODCAST WITH GUS N HEC: That was the topic of this conversation, what what we're building here with the podcast. And we talked a little bit about what we're building professionally and and personally. but I I do think that that I wanna set a goal for where we wanna be in the next let's bring it down to ninety days, three months, three months from now. I want this podcast to start implementing gus: But I I do think that I that I wanna set a goal for where we wanna be in the next let's bring it down to ninety days, three months, three months from now. I want this podcast to start implementing the other materials that we're that we're planning, you know, including the newsletter. we have a newsletter coming out. I think that that's gonna be something fun that we do. Short, brief, something about topics that we've talked about in the past. social media we're gonna be a lot more THE PODCAST WITH GUS N HEC: the other materials that we're that we're planning, you know, including the newsletter. we have a newsletter coming out. I think that that's gonna be something fun that we do. Short, brief, something about topics that we've talked about in the past. social media, we're gonna be a lot more consistent with social media and starting to post our clips and and everything that, you know, that we feel that would be really useful in a short format. And just the consistency, man. That's how that's all you've been talking about. That's all we should be doing, right? It's gus: consistent with social media and starting to post our clips and and everything that you know that we feel that would be really useful in a short format. And just the consistency, man. That's how that's all you've been talking about. That's all we should be doing, right? It's we will sit here no matter what and be consistent. Yeah. And we will do this podcast and, you know, like you said THE PODCAST WITH GUS N HEC: We will sit here no matter what and be consistent. Yeah. And we will do this podcast. And you know, like you said, we talked about this many times. The the the difference between the successful people and the non-successful people is the time it takes between the idea and the action. And I think that this time we weren't on the other side of that. I think this time we did exactly what we were gonna do. We said it and we worked on it, and now we're doing it. Yep. gus: We talked about this many times. The the the difference between the successful people and the not successful people is the time it takes between the idea and the action. And I think that this time we weren't on the other side of that. I think this time we did exactly what we were gonna do. We said it and we worked on it and now we're doing it. Yeah. THE PODCAST WITH GUS N HEC: What does that look like? You know, what what's my 90 day goal is is what you're asking. Yeah. So yeah, that would be that's kind of my goal as well with the podcast. Yeah. I think that that's where that's where I want to take it. I yeah, I mean, I totally agree. I think with the podcast in particular, right, like having the systems in place, being able to run the automation. If you ever are interested in starting a podcast, I've done so much research gus: that look like you know what what's my 90-day goal is is what you're asking yeah so yeah that would that would be that's kind of my goal as far as with the podcast yeah I think that that's where that's where I want to take it. I yeah I mean I totally agree. I think with the podcast in particular, right like having the systems in place being able to run the automation. If you ever are interested in starting a podcast I've done so much research THE PODCAST WITH GUS N HEC: using ChatGPT and Claude to set up an automation. gus: using Chat GPT and Cloud to set up an automation. we use Riverside, for example, as the platform to host the mics. whoa, whoa. The camera. and anyway there there's a back to the the topic of of AI, right? Like being a new technology for us, like this is easier than it's ever been. Right. Like we if we were to try to do this back in two thousand and twenty, yeah, we had more time. But THE PODCAST WITH GUS N HEC: we use Riverside, for example, as the platform to host the mics, the camera. and anyway, there there's a back to the the topic of of AI, right? Like being a new technology for us, like this is easier than it's ever been. Right. Right. Like we if we were to try to do this back in 2020, yeah, we had more time, but we also like we wouldn't have been able to automate a lot of the processes. gus: we also like we wouldn't have been able to automate a lot of the processes. The COVID year. Yeah, the COVID year. We wouldn't be able to master the audio. Wearing masks. That's awesome. Yeah. you know the the editing, the mastering, the publishing, all that take would have taken a ton of time. but a lot of that can be automatable today. And so really ironing out that process in 90 days for me is is super important. THE PODCAST WITH GUS N HEC: Yeah, the COVID year, we wouldn't be able to master the audio. So what are the phone cover? Yeah. you know, the the editing, the mastering, the publishing, all of that take would have taken a ton of time. but a lot of that can be automatable today. And so really ironing out that process in 90 days for me is is super important. for you, I know you're very focused on gus: For you, I know you're very focused on like ironing out the brand, the image, the positioning. obviously we both care a ton about the relationship with our audience. So we'll continue to collect collect feedback and understand what's working, what's not working. We want this to also be like something that we both walk away from here. Like we've learned something new and we have we feel good about the value that we've added. So THE PODCAST WITH GUS N HEC: like ironing out the brand, the image, the positioning. obviously we both care a ton about the relationship with our audience. So we'll continue to collect collect feedback and understand what's working, what's not working. We want this to also be like something that when we both walk away from here, like we've learned something new and we have we feel good about the value that we've added. So gus: in ninety days I want that to like I want that to be consistently what it is that we're doing. We're THE PODCAST WITH GUS N HEC: in ninety days, I want that to like I want that to be consistently what it is that we're doing. We're gus: you know, we we sit down, we know exactly what we're talking about, we feel good about it, we walk away knowing that we learned something new, we laughed, we had a good time. Yeah. And then I for me the back end system, boom, does it. Yeah, dude. It I f I swear to god, if in ninety days I come up and we're still figuring THE PODCAST WITH GUS N HEC: You know, we we sit down, we know exactly what we're talking about, we feel good about it, we walk away knowing that we learned something new, we laughed, we had a good time. Yeah. And then I for me, the back end system, boom, does it all. Yeah, dude. It I f I swear to God, if in ninety days I come up and we're still gus: how to post these mics up, I think we're gonna we're gonna we're we're we're too THE PODCAST WITH GUS N HEC: It took us probably fifteen minutes to set up these mics. It's funny. Everybody always sees the end product, man. You see the mics just perfectly aligned. Yeah. You don't know how hard and you know how much sweat came in and blood came into the Everybody wants what you have, but nobody wants to do gus: Probably fifteen minutes. It's the funniest thing. You guys it's funny. Everybody always sees the end product, man. They just see the mics just perfectly aligned. They don't know how hard and you know how much sweat came into and blood came into the setting up the. THE PODCAST WITH GUS N HEC: what you did to get there or to have it. that was almost almost perfect. What was it? What's the saying? gus: that was almost a clip. That was almost an Instagram clip. I don't know, dude. The only saying I know is like everybody wants to be a bodybuilder, but don't nobody want to lift no heavy ass weights. Ronnie Coleman. Shout out Ronnie. but yeah, man, that's that's perfect. THE PODCAST WITH GUS N HEC: That's good one. Right. Yeah, yeah. but yeah man, that that's perfect. gus: I think we're gonna get there and we will in the next ninety days for sure have our first guest. we've already talked about who that is. We'll give you guys more details about who that is in later podcasts. THE PODCAST WITH GUS N HEC: for sure have our first guest. Yep. we've already talked about who that is. We'll give you guys more details about who that is in later podcasts. But yeah, I think we'll we'll have our first guest and he'll sit in Hector's very sturdy IKEA chair. Yep. Right here. He or she will sit right here. gus: But yeah, I think we'll we'll have our first guest and he'll sit in Hector's very sturdy IKEA chair. Right here. He or she. We'll sit right here. THE PODCAST WITH GUS N HEC: Yeah, or in factors lap, like you said last time. I think I think that that would be ideal. Awesome then. we will also have all of the like the key points. We'll try to go through this and understand any kind of open ended questions that we had ourselves and publish them on our blog or our newsletter. gus: or in Hector's lap, like we said last time. I think I think that that would be ideal. Awesome, man. we will also have all of the like the key points.
